Professor Michael Kalloniatis, B.Sc. (Optom) M.Sc. (Optom) Ph.D.
With expertise in retinal anatomy and neurochemistry, Kalloniatis is a highly experienced optometrist with a range of academic and research experience who has maintained clinical practice throughout his career. Both Kalloniatis' parents have experienced vision loss at the hands of eye disease, so his passion to prevent blindness through early diagnosis is augmented by personal first-hand understanding of the social impacts of vision loss.

Associate Professor David Pye, BOptom MOptom FCLSA
David received his BOptom and MOptom degrees from the University of New South Wales. He has worked in optometric practice, as a Tutor in the School of Optometry, as a Research Officer with the Optometric Vision Research Foundation and as a Clinical Consultant for a local contact lens manufacturer. He was, until recently, Director of Clinics in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of New South Wales.

Anna Delmadoros BOptom (Hons), MOptom
Anna Delmadoros graduated from UNSW with first class honours in 1996 and completed her Masters of Optometry degree in 2005. She is also the Senior Staff Optometrist for ocular pathology and advanced ocular techniques at the School of Optometry at UNSW. She has been extensively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching since 2000 and is actively involved in the continuing education of Optometrists nationwide. In 2008, the NSW division of OAA awarded her the Josef Lederer Award for Excellence in Optometry and in 2009 she was awarded a UNSW Excellence Award. She is particularly interested in new technologies for the early detection and management of glaucoma.
Paula Katalinic BOptom (Hons), GradCertOcTher
Paula received her BOptom and MOptom degrees from The University of New South Wales and gained her Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2008. She has worked in both rural and urban optometric practice and spent 3.5 years at Joslin Diabetes Centre's Beetham Eye Institute in Boston. Most recently, she was a Staff Optometrist in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at The University of New South Wales and currently works part-time as Projects Officer at the Optometrists Association Australia (NSW Division). Her clinical interests are in retinal pathology (with a particular interest in diabetic retinopathy) and colour vision.
Dr Andrew Whatham BOptom (Hons), DPhil, GradCertOcTher
Andrew received his BOptom and GradCertOcTher degrees from the University of New South Wales, and his DPhil form the University of Oxford, UK. He has worked in private optometric practice in Australia, in laboratory research at the University of Oxford, UK, and in clinical research at Geneva University Hospitals in Switzerland. More recently, he has worked as a casual lecturer in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at The University of New South Wales, and as a Senior Vision Scientist with the Institute for Eye Research, Sydney. Andrew has published original research in major journals on a range of topics. His major clinical interest is in neural disorders of vision from the retina to visual cortices.
Michael Yapp BOptom (Hons), MOptom
Michael received his BOptom (Hons), MOptom and GradCertOcTher from the University of New South Wales. He has worked in private practice as a locum both throughout Australia and the UK, as a staff optometrist, tutor and guest lecturer at the UNSW and as program manager for Luxottica's Australian based optical charity program. His most recent role was working for a Corneal and Refractive Specialist Ophthalmologists Surgery.

Agnes received her Bachelor of Optometry and Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from The University of New South Wales. She has worked in private optometric practice and as a Clinical Optometrist in the Institute for Eye Research, Sydney. Her clinical interests include glaucoma and contact lenses.
George Rennie, BOptom
George received his BOptom degree in 2008 and is currently undertaking his Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics at the Uiversity of New South Wales. He has worked in private and corporate optometric practice. George has been involved with the Prince of Wales Ophthalmology Outreach Service to numerous areas in rural/remote NSW.
Electrophysiologist
Dr Vincent Nguyen BAppSc (Orthoptics), MAppSc, PhD
After being awarded a PhD in 2003, Vincent spent two years studying behavioural vision at the Centre for Vision Research, York University, Canada, and a further two years studying electrophysiological vision at the Department of Physiology, University of Sydney. During the course of his postgraduate training, Vincent maintained his clinical practice working in various private ophthalmic clinics. In 2007 Vincent joined the Department of Ophthalmology, Prince of Wales Hospital and his main line of work has been in examining patients using clinical visual electrophysiology techniques. Vincent's interests are in biological vision including monocular depth perception and binocular interaction and outside of work he is a husband and a "Mr Fix-it" dad.
