Centre for Eye Health (CFEH) has recently published a ‘Referral Guide’ to help optometrists better understand which patients to refer and how their practice can benefit from having access to advanced ocular imaging at
no charge.
With one in four Australian’s now at‐risk of developing an eye disease, CFEH is an innovative new way to help save the sight of more people in the community.
Optometrists are encouraged to refer patients who:
• are at‐risk of developing an eye disease;
• are suspected of eye disease but more information is required before sending the patient to a specialist; or
• simply require ongoing monitoring in relation to a known condition.
